IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell)

IQAC - Internal Quality Assurance Cell is a structure that would help educational institutions to improve their work processes and achieve learning outcomes. Its aim is to introduce a consistent plan of action that would lead the organization towards progress. It involves–

Thus, IQAC considers all the possible aspects that hold the power to bring positive impact of teaching-learning on the students as well as institutions. Assessment, evaluation & improvement may seem simple steps but can turn the game around when performed consistently.

FUNCTIONS OF IQAC


· Development andapplication of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrativeactivities of the Colleges; 

·Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive forquality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge andtechnology for participatory teaching and learning process; 

· Arrangement for feedbackresponses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality relatedinstitutional processes; 

·Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of highereducation; 

·Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on qualityrelated themes and promotion of quality circles; 

·Documentation of the various programmes/activities of the College, leading toquality improvement; 

·Acting as a nodal agency of the college for coordinating quality-relatedactivities, including adoption and dissemination of good practices 

· Development andmaintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose ofmaintaining / enhancing the institutional quality; 

· Development of the AnnualQuality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the College based on the qualityparameters/assessment criteria developed by the relevant quality assurance body(like NAAC, NBA, AB) in the prescribed format; 

·Bi-annual development of Quality Radars (QRs) and Ranking of Integral Unites ofColleges based on the AQAR; 

·Interaction with SQACs in the pre and post accreditation quality assessment,sustenance and enhancement endeavours.
